It is that time of the season again when you’re midway through the year before making any valid holiday splurges but way into a vulnerable state to give into the plundering hypnosis of red, marked-down tags. Even though you swear by your high school diploma, “back-to-school” in June happened years ago for you and this time of sale season is completely irrelevant. But a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, right?
But I think it’s safe to say that this month for me has been less about giving into consumerism (okay, maybe I shopped just a teensy bit) and more about diving into experiences — which I’m proud to say, has been a resolution I’ve actually stuck with. Realistically speaking, it has become a whole lot easier to ignore the flashing sale sign because saving up for trips, wether beyond or within your homeland, can be agonising.
My approach to packing for travel has become more strategic over the years simply because I hate the idea of overpacking. “Toss in 5 outfits, throw out 2,” I’d say and the formula has never failed me. The dreaded fear of lacking a t-shirt or undergarment has only become a reality at least once in a trip (thankfully one that was just out of town) and that’s because no one informed we had an extended stay.
The same sentiments apply when packing my makeup: keep it compact, keep it versatile. So when Sephora asked me to pick out from their collection, I immediately crunched it down to the necessities. Trust me, 5 kinds of highlighters didn’t seem realistic as much as it was tempting. So with that, keep calm and read on my newfound favourites.
Left to right: Becca nude lip pencil in ‘Nougat’, Sephora Teint Infusion foundation, Becca backlight priing filter, Sephora Triple Action makeup remover, Sephora blush in ‘So Shy’, Sephora Smooth and Bright concealer, Becca Ombre Rogue eye palette, Becca Shimmering Skin perfector in ‘Opal’
Ommgg is the Becca eyeshadow palette worth it? Been thinking about getting one!
Yes, it is! Super pigmented and applies smooth! 🙂

I’ll definitely be on the lookout for those items on your faves list, as I’m trying to update and in this case upgrade my makeup collection!!! Thank for sharing, Bea ❤

Thank you, Arianne! So sweet of you! Everyone is always a little shy but that shouldn’t hinder you from what you want to do. If it’s your passion, go for it. Also, I’m not a tall person – just got to learn and find your angle. Haha! Best of luck! 🙂
I’m sorryyyy, I love your photos and your style so much but I had a hard time reading your post. 😦 Might want to improve your writing.
Thank you, Yna! I appreciate the feedback! Improve on what grounds specifically? Grammatical errors? If it’s my writing style, this is just how I simply write. 🙂
