The last day (but a first for me) of Manila Fashion Festival A/W ’15 took a muted reference played with easy silhouettes, textures and cutouts. Outerwear from Mark Tamayo and Bea Samson was a personal favourite but I’m saving the duster coat, layering and olive-green hues for the cooler part of the year. For now, I’m taking cue from Vania Romoff with dropped shoulders, shift dresses and a light palette— something I need to lean towards to this summer. But if it’s anything I was reminded of that night, it’s my love for strategic cutouts and the right amount of edge courtesy of Tony Evan.
